An event is a single occasion like a wedding, engagement party, or birthday celebration. Each event gets its own page, QR code, and upload folder in your Google Drive.

Yes. Every account includes a free event with 50 uploads and 30 days of access from the day you create it, no card required. It already includes the live dashboard, video and HEIC, a cover image and your own custom link, and a QR code to download as PNG or SVG. It's the easiest way to try Glint end-to-end before trusting it with a day you can't repeat, and when you are ready, that same event upgrades to the $29 Event Pass in place, keeping its link and QR code, so nothing you have printed needs to change.

No. Guests just scan the QR code or tap the link. No app download, no signup, no login. They select their photos and upload. That's it.

JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC (iPhone photos), MP4, MOV and WebM, which covers the common photo and video formats from any phone. Every file reaches your Google Drive as the untouched original, never compressed; HEIC is converted only for the on-screen preview.

Individual files can be up to 500 MB by default, on every plan, and you can raise your own event to 1.5 GB in Settings. Photos are typically 2-10 MB, and the videos guests typically send fit easily at the default. If guests will film longer 4K videos, such as a full speech, raise the limit so those files are accepted too. Glint never compresses a file to fit: every file arrives in your Drive as the untouched original.

Your photos and videos stay where they are: every file already uploaded is in your own Google Drive, where the files never expire, and you own them, not us. What ends is access. The window runs from the day you create the event, and Glint emails you about a week before it ends. When it ends, your guest upload page stops accepting new uploads, and the shared gallery and live slideshow, if you opened them, close with it. A free event can still upgrade to the $29 Event Pass in place at any point in its first 12 months, even after its 30 days have ended, keeping its link and QR code.

If you host something every year, the Event Bundle's three slots never expire, so you can hold them until you need them.

When you sign up, you connect your Google Drive via a secure OAuth connection. We can only access files that Glint creates. We can't see or touch anything else in your Drive. Every guest upload goes directly to a folder in your Drive.

Yes. Your guests' photos and videos are saved to your own Google Drive, and Glint stores none of them; for each upload it keeps only metadata, like the guest's name and the file's name. Drive tokens are encrypted with AES-256, and your Google connection uses drive.file, one of the most limited permissions Google offers, so Glint can see only the files and folders it creates, never the rest of your Drive.
